Title: Accidentally deleted partition and created new one - all data gone or possible to recover?
Post by: tera-blues on January 31, 2013, 01:42:55 PM

Well this is embarassing. We have a rack of Terastation TS-RIXL's with a range of IP addresses. Yesterday we were doing some remodeling and accidentally deleted the wrong terastation iSCSI volume on one. To make matters worse, we also created a new volume over it (but have not written to it).

Is there ANY way to recover the data that was lost?

Unfortunately not, your only option would be to contact a professional data recovery service, however given the fact that you delete the volume on an XFS based iSCSI NAS it would probably cost thousands!
