Title: Can't Assign Users to Groups
Post by: teksmith on February 06, 2009, 12:26:35 PM

For some reason I cannot assign users to groups other than the default, hdusers.  I go into user management and make the assignment and it indicates success, but when I go back and look, the group still says hdusers.  Anyone else have this problem?

Vitals:

Linkstation Live LS-CHL

FW: 1.06

Just to be clear...

You create multiple users in User Managment and then go to Group management and create and assign those users?

YOU want to create everything, do not use the default users and groups.

Right.  That is what I am doing.  I created a user account.  I went to the group account and added the user.  But the respective user group drop down (in user management) always indicates hdusers as the primary group.

Did you find a solution in the meantime? I do have the same problem and don't know what to do anymore! (Firmware 1.07)

Dont go by what you see on that page. I think the drop down always displays hddusers since its the first in the list.

hdusers is the default group, and every user is a member of it.
