Hi all,
since upgrading to the lates firmware version (1.64) I've had issues connecting USB devices (NTFS formatted) to the Linkstation
If I connect an unpowered USB disk or even a USB Flash stick it simply does not give any life sign.
If I connect a powered USB disk (using Y USB cable) have some strange behaviour
With USB Network Server DISABLED, the Linkstation sees the USB disk, and mounts the share most of times.
I can read it but cannot write (and that I know is expected beaviour for NTFS) but most of times the linkstation seems to be rebooting (FTP sessions get disconnected and torrent web client gets disconnected) when I insert the disk and a couple of times it even shut down by itself after some time.
If I ENABLE USB Network Server or plug the disk with USB Network Server enabled the same reboot seems to happen. At this point the disk does not get mounted, of course, but I cannot see it in USB-Navigator on my PC.
Both USB and USB Network Server used to work quite good in the past (ain't a feature I use so much actually) even withouth external power to the disk, for sure stopped working after upgrade to FW 1.64.
Having no access to the embedded linux messages log cannot do any further check, especially on the USB Network Server issue.
Any suggestion or indication to address this issue?
Do you know if there is a new firmware that might be released in the future, I suspect it's some FW bug/problem?
Best Regards
Paolo
