Title: FTP won't work properly
Post by: Jelle on January 26, 2013, 09:42:29 AM

I am running Linkstation duo 2TB with firmware 1.64.

I have activated FTP on all shared folder and set up access restrictions so that I have to log in using username and password.

I can access the FTP from within my own home network, using the IP 192.168.0.198 where it asks for username and password. Both users I have created works fine.

I have then forwarded port 21 in my router and using this: http://www.canyouseeme.org/ I have confirmed that my port is forwarded correctly. I have also forwarded ports to my game server this way and the servers that is running runs just fine.

So when I go online (from within the house that is) using IP 91.150.233.81 which is my public IP it just won't show the files and folders. It seems to connect fine but I get an error:

"200 type set to A" and

"227 entering passive mode (192,168,0,198,160,54)"

I have had an FTP server set up on my game server too, and that works just fine if I try to access it via my public IP, this only happens with the linkstation.

I have tried both FileZilla FTP client and Windows Explorer, both give the same error.

What can I do?
