Title: Unable to safely remove 320GB Ministation turbousb
Post by: arizalshah on February 06, 2009, 06:16:25 AM

I cant safely remove it. it keeps prompt "The device 'Generic Volume' cannot be stopped right now. Try stopping the device later". I am pretty sure that there was no software/application using it that time. neither  secure lock nor memeo.

I shutted down and restarted my pc and reconnect it again. straightaway tried to safely remove it and still unable to safely remove it. i even tried with other PCs.

shall i download and install the driver? if yes, the problem is that the file is too large (>100MB) to fully downloaded it. fyi, it doesnt come with CD installer when i bought it. is there any way to download it either using flashget or any download manager (which i can resume if i got discon) because my flashget didnt prompt to grab this file when i tried to download it (tried few times).

please help me here...

Could be more then those 2 programs accessing your drive.  An anti-virus program could be scanning content in the background for example.

...Sounds like you may have bigger issues though if you cannot fully download a 100MB+ file without an interruption of some sort corrupting your download.
