I have a new LS Duo which I cannot access, can only ping on private IP(169.254.x.x) . I cannot see it on my wireless network or when directly connected to my laptop. NasNavi2 sees it as having the IP address 192.168.1.71/255.255.255.0/192.168.1.254 but cannot connect to it nor change the IP (no web access either). This is not at all my current IP address (192.168.0.106) but when I change my laptop IP to this LS one, still doesn't see it or ping. DHCP is enabled and I have tried the following to try and get the LS to reset its IP. All these with LS directly connected by ethernet cable to laptop. All firewalls & antivirus are disabled. User and password still at default.
1. Tried reset to factory settings using function button (LS boots up - one quick flash of function light, flashing blue power light and then steady blue light. No error light, No EM mode. Nothing happens (with LS off keep function button depressed for 10 secs, power on, etc. etc. function light only flashes once)
2. Tried resetting IP using NasNavi2 - says no response even when IP address compatible (same subnet etc.)
3. Updated firmware to 1.64. made no difference.
4. Amended lsupdater to allow debug mode. Tried to get it to repartition, force another firmware update, won't do anything!!! Said can't contact LS.
5. Tried listening with TFTP Boot Recovery LS-WXL 1.24.exe. Listening on 192.168.1.71 or 192.168.0.106 (or whatever my laptop has) & 169.254.93.50. Tried rebooting and pressing function button - no response.
All the above are from forum suggestions. I can't tell if LS is f****d or whether I am missing something stupid. It seems to have cast this 'other' IP address in reinforced concrete and nothing will shift it.
Any suggestions will be gratefully received.
