Title: LS-WX2.0TL/R1 firmware upgrade issue
Post by: padeniso on January 13, 2013, 11:54:38 AM

My LS is running 1.34 version of firmware. Everything works fine except media server (I've got DTCP-IP upgrade error recently). I'd like to upgrade FW on the box, but LS updater doesn't see it. I can get an access to the box through GUI, NASNavigator sees the box also, but Updater told me that "LinlStation that needs update wasn't found". As far as I understand 1.34 is a bit old version for this box, now we have 1.63. What could be the reason for this situation? Is it possible to upgrade FW without LS updater?

Guys,

Do you have any ideas for the issue above?

What can I do to upgrade firmware on the box?

Have you throughly checked FAQ(2 of 5)?  Especially the section "If you are having issues with the firmware update not finding the unit or you are getting errors please try these troubleshooting steps."

If the updater cannot find the Linkstation then:

1. You are trying to install the wrong firmware.

2. Your anti virus and/or firewall is blocking the updater.

Download the firmware from the below link, unzip it and run it with your AV and firewall software disabled.
