Hi there, greetings from the Emmerald Island.,
First of all let ye know that I'm new to the NAS world.
I got a diskless LS-WSXL.. I'm using a recent formated seagate 75gb. Recognized in other pc's.
There is a constant red light inside the enclosure (I don't know if this is normal).
When I first tried to setup the device I didn't got any function red light . The LinkNavigator failed the installation, but the device it's recognised by the Navigator2 in EM mode. When I tried to upgrade the firmware I got the error Partition not found upgrade aborted.
I tried FAQ (2 of 5): Force Firmware update procedure,
.inifile
[Application]

[Flags]

[SpecialFlags]

NoFormatting = 0
but after reseting the unit, the function led is a blue constant blinking. I turned off the device and the function blue light is gone.
I did run the updater and got the following messages "Partition not detected. TARGET will be formatted..." & "Format failed..."
TFTP didn't work. NAS never made a request.
Please advise.
Cheers
The firmware is probably looking for a larger capacity HDD than 75GB. The LS-WXS that comes with HDDs, uses 1TB and 2TB HDDs.
Thanks drmemory.
