Title: suspecting TS crash
Post by: heymjo on February 05, 2009, 02:28:46 PM

Hi,

my TS booted yesterday with all red lights continuously flashing. The blue network led did not come on. I then reset it using the init button, hoping to access it via the default address 192.168.11.150 to do some troubleshooting.

After the reset i restarted it and indeed the network led was blue again, yet all HD leds are green and don't blink its as if the system suspends after boot.

assuming that the network led indicates there is network connectivity, how can i now connect to the TS ? I tried pinging the default IP but getting no connection, also the nas navigator does not find anything ! What else can i try here ?

Thanks

Jorg

Hi Jorg,

If you haven't already, download the NAS Navigator. Also you may need to get the latest Firmware.

Plug the TS directly into your comp and then hold the reset button as you boot the unit on (you can let go after it displays "EM Mode Booting").

Then see if the NAS Navi can find the unit. If it does what IP does it give, does the IP on the display match?
