Title: Linkstation Live LS-XL sleep timer questions
Post by: ProbablyMike on January 09, 2013, 04:13:29 PM

Just got a Linkstation Live LS-XL and have a couple of questions about the sleep timer.

It's a little confusing with the times, I kind of get why it has wake up/sleep times of greater than 24:00, but just to clarify.
I want it to wake at 7PM and sleep at midnight every day, so a timer for everyday, wake at 19:00 and sleep at 24:00 will do this?

Also what happens when one of the laptops is switched on & attempts to access the Linkstation when it is asleep? Does it automatically wake up, or is it totally inaccessible until the set wake up time?

Cheers
Mike

Just found this in the manual:

If Sleep Timer has shut down your LinkStation, to turn it on before the wakeup time, power down
the LinkStation and then turn it on again. For the LS-XL series, power it down, then disconnect and
reconnect the AC adapter.

So I guess that answers it, when asleep the only way to wake it is to remove the power, seems rather strange to me.
