Hi. I have a Linkstation Live Duo (LS-WXLA8D) which was working fine and now I am having all sorts of issues with. I also have an older Linkstation on the network.
The issue I have is that the Duo shows up in NASNavigator but has an Exclamation mark over it. It has an IP address (which if I type into the browser isn't accessible). If I hover over the drive in NASNavigator I see The IP address, the hostname, the product name all OK but also Connection error [] and Some disk information are not obtained. Failed to get error information. I cannot map the drive in either NasNavigator or through Windows explorer.
I have also tried to upgrade the firmware (currently on 1.63) but it says there was no response and please check network settings.
I was connected by wired ethernet but switched to Wireless and I can't be sure if this is related to the problem.
Strangely the LS-GLCCF seems to be showing up OK but if I try and map that network drive I get the error Failed Mapping. Remote default share is missing. Again I have no idea if this is related or not but I am in a bit of a mess all round.
Other information. The PC I am running is a Windows 8 Sony Vaio L Series. However, I couldn;t get to the drive on the mac in the kitchen either.
Any help would be most appreciated.
Thanks a lot,
Rupert
So typically the minute I posted this I tried something else - I switched from wireless to fixed line connection and voila. Fixed.
Clearly I have some network issues but as it's working now I am happy.
Thanks.
