Hi. I purchased the Bufflo Cloudstation Pro Duo 4GB early last year and i had nothing but trouble with the device.
I have all my files on it and cannot access them.
My device is constantly offline.
I've tried using the buffalo NAS navigator 2 and it does not detect it.
The drive is not showing up under my computer or network.
Everything is attached correctly and i can see the device under the router control panel.
There is no info/error light shown but the power light is constant.
In the rare occasion, the device does show up under the Buffalo NAS navigator but it states it is in emergency mode and it only remains for a few moments.
I tried downloading the updated firmware for the device but i cannot install it if my device is not being detected.
I am at my wits end with this. If anyone has any advise, I would be grateful if you could help me out.
Update: I managed to get it out of emergency mode and updated the firmware.
After updating the firmware, I was prompt for an admin password. I've tried entering all the passwords that i've used without joy. I've even tried entering the default of password without luck so I had to press cancel.
Now I cannot configure the device locally as it prompts me for a password I dont know or have.
Does anyone know how I can resolve this? The device reset did not work for me nor the default password.
