Title: LS-WVL/E USB connection question.

I just have a quick question regarding USB connection on LS-WVL/E NAS. 

Does the HD connected via USB needs to be formatted in admin setting? In other words, the already formatted HD connected via USB needs to formatted again in admin before it can be recognized?

If it is so, then will this NAS recognize 3T HD connected by USB or will I have problem of it not recognizing this size? I know windows has problem recognizing 3T size when it is connected via USB. Will I have same problem?

The reason I am asking this question is because I can see USB connection is the system-storage, but I cannot access it and it doesn't show the status and capacity information.
