Post by: wanttokillmynas on January 04, 2013, 10:52:38 AM

I`m having serious trouble whit this little black box from hell, it`s a LS-WX4.0TL/R1 and it will not wake up or stain awake with the macbook pro osx10.7.5, works with our old pc running win xp. when it is in on position it works whit the macbook but when i putthe switch in auto it shuts of in a couple minutes and wont start unless i start the pc in the network or puts the switch in on.

upgraded the firmware but nothing got better

Do you have the Nas navigator installed on the MAC? If so and you are having the same issue then there is some security software on the MAC blocking the WOL packets.

then the firewall on the MAC is blocking the WOL request being sent to the Linkstation.

Make sure youre using the latest version:

Otherwise there is still something either on the MAC or network blocking the connection.

im running the latest.2.56. i don`t really know what else that should block this (i feel like a n00b) the mac and pc are connected directly to the same router so the problem is probably inside the apple.......but where?
