I have a HD-LBU2 however it doesn't spin after a period of inactivity like my external drives from ot
WD. I can clearly hear and feel the drive spinning. ยป
I bought the buffalo for its eco mode - I'd this a faulty drive? works well otherwise.
Don't think the HDLBU2 comes with any power saving features ( apart from the fact that is powers on and off with your PC)
I could stand to be correct on this one though.
Thanks, guess I misinterpreted. The drive is plugged into a simple 24/7 server (was a mini itx, now a raspberry pi). Will this significantly reduce the drive's lifespan?
