Title: Pro Duo Linkstation- Gigabit test on Mac?
Post by: hugoma on February 05, 2009, 04:35:24 AM
New to Mac, and have pro duo connected via gigabit router & Cat6. Photo image icons stored on my pro duo are taking longer to appear on my mac than I believe they should. Curious how I can best speed test the gigabit connection? Thank you very much.

Try transferring a large file (1-2 GB) to the NAS, and time how long it takes. The speed should work out to anywhere from 10-20 MB/s.
