Title: TS-RVHL2E8 Terastation Encrypted Transfer Ports *Solved*

Hello All,

 

Does anyone know off hand what port the Terastations use for over internet backup to a second Terastation? I have a backup that only fails when Encrypted Transfer is turned on. Besides that it works fine.

Well at this point this is an FYI, I was able to wireshark the router to see what port the Terastation was attempting to communcate through and after forwarding/opening port 8837 the Backup job from local lan NAS to offsite over internet NAS is working great.

 

Hopefully this info can help others in the future.
