Title: HD-LXU3 is making wierd beeping noise
Post by: Pangaeus on December 29, 2012, 01:03:17 PM

Just got my storage drive, HD-LXU3, from Amazon. I am using it on a Macbook air to store photos and to back up my computer. I started the backup and a few minutes into it, the drive starts a soft beep, which slowly gets louder and louder. It is now beeping every 3 seconds and it appears the backup is stalled. Do I have a dud? :-( Thank you for any help! I am not the most tech-savvy person.

run a disk check (or the MAC alternative) on the HDD and test it on a second PC/MAC.
