Title: LinkStation LS-XL doesn't get recognized at start up
Post by: Hooterman1000 on January 01, 2013, 04:14:48 PM

This may be a simple Windows question.  I have a LinkStation LS-XL on my home wireless network.  Whenever I start my computer Windows won't connect to the NAS.  There is a red X over the drive in Explorer.  When I click on the drive the X goes away and I can see the folders.  How can I fix this so that the NAS drive automatically connects?

Is the Linkstation power on when the PC turns on, are you using the auto mode feature?!

Usually as long as you have the "Reconnect At Logon" checked when you create the Mapped network drive it should be ok.

I get the occasional Red X on the drive, but it always clears when you access the drive.

Davo, I don't believe the LS-XL has an auto mode.
