Title: buffalo linkstation LS XL 1TB
Post by: mlm198 on January 01, 2013, 03:04:28 PM

Hi,

I have been using my linkstation for a few years now with everything  working fine. In the past 3-4 months it only connects to my laptop (win 7) or desktop (win XP) when I switch it off and on prior to starting. The linkstation also does not switch off automatically when in auto mode.

In the past week it has stopped connecting completly i.e it cannot see the linkstation either when connecvted through the router or directly to the computer. I have tried switching off the firewall and antivirus but it makes no difference.

The blue light on top of the linkstation is flashing all the time.

Any help fixing this will be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Matthew

The LSXL doesnt have an auto mode so at least post the correct model number of your Linkstation!

follow faw 1 of 5 to try and get the unit into EM mode, once done just reapply the firmware.

I have tried to get into the EM mode using the procedure in the FAQ but it didn't work so I have tried the TFTP process again I didn't get access. The only bit I wasn't sure of was thew dynamic gateway should be.

Any other ideas?

Thanks for the help.
