Title: Drivestation duo 6.0 tb drive not appearing

I have a dell vostro 1400 running windows vista home basic. The computer says the hardware was installed and the icon to uninstall is there, but the drive doesn't come up anyware. When I tried to format in ntfs it says there is no drive to format. Can anyone help?
