Title: Can't set volumes?
Post by: dsmithwc04 on December 31, 2012, 09:31:40 AM

I am trying to setup the hard drives on my LS-WCL2BE.

When trying to create a folder it shows nothing in the hard drive volumes.  I can't figure out how to set up/ map the hard drive volumes.  I went to webacces/system/storage and it shows both hard drives but the format and check buttons are greyed out.  Also, under system info it shows the following..... Storage: Not available.

post a screen shot of the system/storage/Array1 section. Does it show Array1(EDP)?

OK so, follow FAQ 2 of 5 to do a full debug (including rebuild partition table) once you do this the unit will start flashing 6 times (e06) once it does this follow FAQ 3 of 5 to reload the boot image.

Okay, attempted faq 2 of 5 and checked all the check marks even "rebuild partition table" and "Delete user-config".

ini file looks like this:

[Application] Title = BUFFALO LinkStation Series Updater Ver.1.64

WaitReboot = 1200

WaitFormat = 600

WaitFileSend = 600

WaitDiscover = 120

[Target]

ProductID = 0x00003006

ProductID2 = 0x00003007

ProductID3 = 0x00000016

ProductID4 = 0x00003008

ProductID5 = 0x00004001

ProductID6 = 0x00000017

ProductID7 = 0x00000019

Name = LinkStation

[Flags]

VersionCheck = 0

[SpecialFlags]

Debug = 1

NoFormatting = 0

Once, completed dialog box stated unable to format properly.

NAS is currently in EM Mode.

I went ahead and attempted faq 3 of 5 but never could get it to communicate with the tftp boot recovery exe.  Just kept saying it was "accepting requests..."

I did put the static IP to 192.168.11.1 like it said.

Looks like this is going back to the store.  If I can't even get it to work out of the box how can I hope to keep it working...
