Title: Time Machine size limit
Post by: dndrich on December 30, 2012, 12:11:34 AM

New to the forums. Just got a LinkStation pro 2 duo LS-WVL. I have perused the forums, and I do not see a solution to this problem: Is there a way to limit the size of a time machine backup? This drive I will be using as RAID 1 in a small business with about 10 users. I plan to have a bunch of network shared folders, plus a way to backup some of the computers. So, I don't want to use up all of my 3 T with time machines!

the only way to do this would be to create a user on the Linkstation and guve it a user quote. then assign this user to the share and map the drive on the MAC using this user.
