Title: firmware upgrade failed, cycle rebooting
Post by: CTHAC on December 18, 2012, 09:20:09 AM

I have a NAS LS-WXL/E which was running very well with firmware 1.62,  I tried to upgrade it o 1.64 today, unfortunately I suffered the failed information there.  And afterwards the NAS keeps rebooting always,  could you please help on this?? many thanks.

Is the unit booting up completely, is accessible, and then shuts down? Or is it constantly powercycling? Also, which position is the switch on the back of the unit set to?

thanks for your checking this, it is re-booted completely and it is approximate 10~15seconds interval without any access. I tried to put the button to ON and Auto positions, it is same thing.   Really need the helps here as i have the important data on it.    thank again.

Just now I tried to plug out the hard disk, and switched on the NAS only,  it is very strange that the EM mode shows up in the NAS Navigator and the firmware LSUpdater can access the NAS.  But I didn't try to install the firmware again.  Afterwards I pluged in the hard disk again, then the NAS started to cycle powering again and again.  PLease kindly help on this,  I really don't want to lose the data on it.  Thank you!
