Hi all,
I have been hunting around this forum for a solution to my current problem. I have a LS-CH1.0TL and recently replaced the HDD. Since making this change I received a E06 error code when starting up the LS. I have been through the instructions details on the following page.
http://forums.buffalotech.com/t5/Storage/FAQ-3-of-5-TFTP-boot-procedure/td-p/100319/page/3
I can confirm that I downloaded the LS-CHL 1.06.exe file detailed on the following FTP site ftp://24.153.165.234/array1/share/nas-recovery/. The readme file confirmes that this is the right version for my LS.
I can successfully connect and perform the boot recovery setting my IP to 192.168.11.1 as detailed in the FAQ link above. However once complete I am not able to see my LS appearing in either the LS Updater or NAS Navigator. I have tried many things including.
1. attempting to access while my laptop IP remains with the static setting 192.168.11.1.
2. reseting to DHCP within the network options.
I have also tried to connect using both my Windows and MacBook Pro laptop but both are unable to find the LS.
Looking at the front of my LS I can confirm that when turned on I see the following LED sequence.
1. blue flashing light for a second or 2.
2. 6 red flashing lights indicating E06 error code.
3. press function button which changes back to flashing blue lights (I assume this means it is in EM mode?). At thi point the TFTP boot recovery program finds the LS.
The lights continue to flash blue and I never see a solid blue light as mentioned in other forum discussions.
Does anyone know what I am doing wrong or of any procedures I can following so that I can connect to my LS from my laptop.
A few things to note are:
1. no data on HDD so happy to format as necessary.
2. all network comms is via ethernet using my router (Time Capsule)
I hope this information helps. Any assistance is much appreciated.
Regards,
Phil
