Title: how to Transfer Harddisk from LINKSTATION QUAD to new LINKSTATION QUAD PRO
Post by: gimsong on December 16, 2012, 06:42:26 AM

I had a old LINKSTATION QUAD model LS-Q2.OTL which is not working (blinking red light 7 times)

I Bought a new LINKSTATION LS-QSL/E (empty) to replace it. I transfer the 4 HDD from the OLD link station to the new link station pro. It does not work. The blue blinking light just blinks forever.

Can someone help me?

Thanks.

Due to differences in the kernel version between our LS-QL and LS-QVL units, unfortunately, simply swapping the drives from one chassis to another will not allow the data to remain intact. In order to use the same drives in your new unit, this will require the drives to be formatted which happens as part of any RAID array configuration.
