Title: Drivestation usb 2.0 file loss

   i have put all my university work music an videos on this hardrive and it was working fine i unplugged it the other day an took it to my girlfriends house plugged it in on her laptop an it worked fine i have put it back into my computer today and the drive says it has the data on it (more than the alloted 931GB is being used up) but when i acess the drive from "My Computer" it says that this folder is empty also the icon has changed please help as i have no backups of this work an cannot afford to reformat the drive!

Data recovery is something we cannot really help with, since it's hard to figure out what the problem is and how to fix it. Our RMA centers aren't equipped to handle data recovery. It sounds like there's either a virus on the drive, or corruption. Run a virus scan, if that doesn't help, I recommend consulting a data recovery expert.
