Title: Buffalo HD-PV500U2 Dead?

My 500GB hard drive is dying / dead. It's been clicking, the blue light isn't on, and windows is not adding it as a drive letter. Is there any last ditch attempt I can do to retrieve files, or anyone know a company who would retrieve them? Thanks.
