Title: I have a hard drive failure with my Dual LS WXL
Post by: frip1969 on December 05, 2012, 02:40:27 PM

I am on raid 1 and bought a new hard drive and replace it but still an error. I then formated the hard drive with another computer and still nothing the System shows an error on the web admin.

I have no backup of my 1 tera left and there is 600gb of data that I do not want to lose!

what should I do?

tks

You need to rebuild the raid before the error will disappear.

Read the manual?
System - Storage - Array1 - Rebuild raid array.

forgot about that one ;-) Just that it's warning me that it will rebuild on the array 1 where all my data is and of course can't select array 2 as error on it...and I am freaking out that my data will be lost which is what the message says when I click rebuild the array...and yes I may not have arrived to that part of the manual. ;-D

It's just saying that the disk it is rebuilding will be erased, not the array, and eitherway, you should have a backup at all times anyways.
