Title: Linkstation degraded Mode
Post by: PaulThBrit on November 28, 2012, 08:16:47 PM

I successfully upgraded my Linkstation LS-WX1.0TL from 2 x 1TB drives to 2 x 3TB drives. The box worked well. Too well, so I decided to check if the data could be recovered with a failed drive. I powered down the box, pulled a drive and powered it back up. The box correctly identified a failed drive and illuminated the red light under the failed drive and flashed a 'I-12' code indicating it was operating in degraded mode. I checked I could access the data and all was well. I then powered down the box and plugged the drive back in.

The box is working normally, but the web interface shows Drive 1 (the one I had pulled) as 'Error'. The Code 'I-12' is still flashing. Does it take a while for the error to clear and the box to decide it doesn't need to operate in degraded mode, or is there a procedure to clear the error?

Thanks,

Paul
