Title: Terastation filesystem problem
Post by: zhamm on February 02, 2009, 08:30:15 PM

I have a Terastation 1TB (PPC) that I have a (self inflicted) problem with the filesystem.  I know what the problem is, I just don't know how to fix it.   I am running firmware 2.18 (openTera firmware).  I have telnet enabled, and root access.  I temporarily moved /usr/local/ to a shared directory on /mnt/array1/.   I rebooted the box, forgetting to put /usr/local back where it belonged, and now the box will not mount the shared filesystems.

All I need is the original /usr/local/bin and related boot and pcast directories, but I have no backups.  I can gain access to the web interface, which says the disks are corrupted (which I don't believe).  I cannot reflash the firmware using the NASupdater, it fails everytime (most likely because /usr/local/ is gone).

Any suggestions?

This is outside of our scope of support. I would recommend checking with whatever community made that firmware.
