Title: Formating Link Station Duo need some days
Post by: casper99 on November 23, 2012, 03:27:21 PM

Hello all together,

i recently bought an LinkStation Duo NAS 6 TB.

It was preconfigured with RAID0 but I wanted an RAID1 storage Array.

So i deleted the RAID0 and configured RAID1.

But after that the error LED was flashing and nothing worked.

So I rebooted the NAS. After that no Array were present or configurable.

So I decided to format the NAS to be able to recreate an array.

It already takes 24 hours and seems to need some more days.

Can I safely interrupt this procedure by switching it off and on again?

Data-safety for my future data is extremely important, and I am not sure whether I should interrupt or not.

Can somebody please help me?

Thank in advance.
