Hello,
I'm a new user of the LS-WVX 4.T (and an old one of the LS-HG). On the box it's written: easy access into iTunes : but it doesn't work.
What does I see:
In iTunes I can see the LS
If I open this one, iTunes try to load the songs, but the result is an empty list
What does I expect:
I can see and use the mp3's in iTunes
What I've make:
* use the device as RAID1
* Upgrade to the latest FW 1.63
* enable the Slim-Server ( Logitech-MediaServer : needed for the SqueezeTouch and Pure-IN Radio); but this is pointed to a different path
* try with diff folder ( with and without authorisation / subfolder and root folder from array1)
* set the DLNA Server (Twonky) to the root-folder (name = itunes -> without auth > also guest)
* set the iTune-Server (mt-daapd) to the rootfolder (name = itunes -> without auth > also guest)
* enable and disable (for a try) AFP
* enable and diasble in the router the upnp option
* downgrade on one PC iTunes to 10.4, leave on the other 10.7
Result : Nothing changed :(
In Windows I can see the new Media-Device under Network-settings
I've read in diff. foren, that iTunes has changed the protocoll, but also that there should be fix in an earlier FW from Buffalo ( Terra-Station ~1.53? )
On other side I've read, that not in the mt-daapd is the solution for the protocol-change from the "half fruit", the change should be in "forked-daapd" the continous project of mt-daapd.....
Q1: Does I'vemake something wrong? If yes: What could I make better?
Q2: Does the FW of the LS-XV contains the fix for iTunes?
Q3: What could I do additional, that it is working? Downgrade?
In this moment I've disabled the DLNA&Itunes-Server ....
Pls replay
In the meantime, Ive try on the same PC a Java DAAPD Client: It's works!
Is there someone, where this combination is running?
Linkstation WVx , activated iTunes-Server, and you can see and play the songs in a list of iTunes?
If yes, pls answer a few question:
a) iTunes Version?
b) FW Version of the Buffalo LS
c) how does you've assign this one, that it is working?
THX a lot
PUSH
Hello Admin from Buffalo: Any comment? Any Statement?
Monolog:
Now it's works !
Thanks for the help from Buffalo :O here in the forum
What I've done?
It's simple, but you must have the idea:
The Media-Server are up_to_date >> last FW Version and update the MediaServer via DTCP-IP
After Reboot and activated Server you did not see any mp3 list in iTunes.
Open the mt-daapd Web-page and create a Playlist ... it doesn't matter which one. In this moment, if a playlist is available, itunes will show you the full list of all mp3's :)
