Title: Setting up iTunes folders for remote and local access
Post by: longxia on November 13, 2012, 06:15:57 AM

Is it best to have my iTunes folder within the Shared folder, or would it be better to have the iTunes folder seperate from the Shared folder?

I plan to access files and also use my iTunes locally, and when I am traveling, usually wifi via hotels.

Also I have noticed that when I add iTunes, it only accesses audio files. Is there a way to have iTunes also do the same for movies, iTunes U, etc.

Any suggestions?

Usually a second folder for the iTunes library would be recommended but realistically it doesnt make any difference, the iTunes server will only stream music, not anything else. There is no way around this.
