Title: HD fried
Post by: waldomiroaugust on November 12, 2012, 01:03:48 PM

Hey guys, i'm new to this forum and i am trying to solve a problem. Also, i'm a photographer, i'm good with computers but not a wizard:

I have a LS-VL 2tb and it always worked fine. Recently, when i had a power shortage, the HD lost his index and started to act all crazy. So, i bought another clean HD and switched, took out  the bad one and inserted the new one, and copied all my data. But this was done by a friend, using linux, while the new hd was inside a computer. Now, it is back inside the armor but my friend just threw my data inside and forgot that this hd was supposed to run nas navigator and other stuff too. Now i have to reinstall the software and firmware in it, but i just have the network cable, and it won't even be recognized by the computer.

what should i do to make this baby run smooth again?

thank you for your time
