Title: LS-V3.0TL Transfer Speeds
Post by: ween101 on November 02, 2012, 04:15:19 PM

Greetings Community

I have had my LS-V3.0TL for a day and a half now and I was curious about the transfer speeds I thought it was moving a little slow

I contacted support yesterday and was told to run a benchmark test  doing the following Lan Speed test lite, transferring a file via my wireless

network and transferring a file wired to my router. here are my results

1. Lan Speed Test  470 meg file  Write 52.83 mbps Read 36.00 mbps

2. wireless transfer (wireless N) 470 meg file  5mbps average

3. wired transfer 470 (Broadcom 10/100 adapter) 11mbps average

I called Support today to give the results and I was told the 5mbps and 11mbps speeds were normal.

Honestly that didn't sit well with me after reading several forum postings of other users getting much faster transfer speeds 25+ mbps

Can anyone offer any insight on what transfer speeds are normal ? I'll mainly be transferring data via my wireless network. Are there any suggesztions or tips that I ca use to increase my transfer speeds? I installed teracopy and the average transfer speed was lower around 3.8

mbps average.

Thanks in advance for any help offered
