I have two problems, I believe. My Linkstation does not appear in the DHCP table of my router, and I also just changed computers to new Windows 7 64 bit, and cannot be any software to load. I downloaded the disk image LS-WXL300WR-DLS but it fails witth a NASA Navigtor2 error message of "Failed to read NASNaviPreference.xml." I tried to find that file on the CD image but was only able to locate a file with the extension ".xml_" I have seen other posts that talk abut a usb drive with software, but my unit appears to be older and did not come with one.
1. How can I get the router to recognize the LinkStation and assign an IP address?
2. Am I trying to install the right program? Do I need somewhere to find the ".wml" file instead of the ".xml_" file?
Thanks for any help.
Ok Reset first,
LinkStation - LS-GL, HS-DHGL or LS-WTGL/R1 Ver.1
LinkStation - with a function (Func) button
Make sure you have the Firewall and Antivirus software disabled on your pc when you are installing nas navigator
