Title: TWO WAY REPLICATION - URGENT INFO NEEDED
Post by: immi2k on October 23, 2012, 11:10:04 AM

Dear Buffalo Gurus,

We are trying to find a file sharing and collaboration solution for 3 offices linked via a WAN (firewall to firewall VPN) - working on large documents and PDFs.

Can we setup a Terastation III in each office and set it up to replicate to the other two offices? so that each Terastation III will have a two way replication with the other two Terastation IIIs?

If yes, how does the Terastation III handle files that are open in two offices at the same time? does it lock the file on other Terastation IIIs to avoid replication conflicts?

According to this Buffalo pdf, two way replication is possible:  http://www.buffalotech.com/content/files/products/Replication_9.pdf

We are hoping someone can advise us from experience or someone from the product team can tell us what the software is actually capable of.

Thanks and Regards
