Title: Can't upgrade firmware - missing partition error
Post by: tatty27 on October 21, 2012, 01:08:05 PM

Hi,

I have recently replaced both of the drives in my LS-WXL.  One drive had died so I bought 2 2tb drives, removed the working one from the unit using the remove drive in the webadmin and installed the new ones and then formatted them.  The unit works as expected but I am unable to update the firmware which is currently on 1.54.  I tried the update utility in the webadmin and it seems to do everything ok until it reoots itself at which point it still has the same firmware and the orange light remains solid.  I then tried downloading the firmware updater but it gives an error about a partition missing.

Any advice will be greatly appreciatedb

follow FAQ 2 of 5 in the storage section to enable the debug options on the firmware, then select "rebuild partition table" and proceed with the update.
