Title: RSYNC troubles
Post by: gandres808 on October 19, 2012, 02:12:03 PM

Hi all,

Running backups between two NAS devices on separate networks have generated the following error:

rsync: writefd_unbuffered failed to write 4 bytes [sender]: Connection timed out (110)
rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (30 bytes received so far) [sender]
rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(635) [sender=3.0.3]
Can't write to backup destination(target disk is broken?).

Backup jobs previously worked in a similar test environments using different network segments behind firewalls, so I'm pretty much at a loss as to what could have caused this issue.  Ports 873, 22938, 22939 have been opened on the firewalls as well.  NAS devices are also only a month old.

Any insight would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Greg
