Hi,

I am in need of help.

I would like to exchange the shipped 500GB HDD with one Seagate Barracuda 3TB HDD in my LS-WXL.

It has the newest firmware.

After removing the two HDDs and inserting the new one, the red light flashes 6 times (error - firmware?).

Question:

- are two HDD required?

- is there a way to get the 3TB HDD running (it is not exactly the model listed in the compatibility list of the LS-WXL, but a newer model)

Using a mix of new and old HDD does not work either.

Follow FAQ 3 of 5 in the storage section once you have inserted the 3TB HDD to resolve the issue.

I have executed the steps listed in the FAQ 3of5 and 2of5.

The device has a new firmware and the disks should be formatted.

But the error with the flashing red led (6 times) still remains after reboot.

Any further ideas how to get the new 3TB HDD running?

I am facing similar issue with the same hardware

The update completed but tue system restart in EM mode again,

Please advice.

just wondering, you have ls-wxl with 2 X 3,5" Bays and you have one 3TB Hdd in one of them correct?

Correct the Disk is placed on bay1.

After doing the firmware update procedure I connected the Disk to my computer and see that 4 diffrent raw partition were created
