I purchased a Linkstation Duo with a pair of 500G drives. I went thru the normal setup and the Duo was visible in the Navigator screen. I set up a daily backup of the Outlook PSW and it worked fine.
I then purchased a diskless Linkstation Duo, installed a pair of 650G drives. I went thru the setup from a second PC, and it appeared in the Navigator on the second PC.
When I went back to the first PC, the original Linkstation was gone and the second one is visible.
I tried to have the first PC try to discover the first Linkstation. I powered up and down and nothing.
How to I get back my Linkstation? By the way, the first Linkstation is in an XP Group called HomeGroup and the second PC is in a Win 7 Group called WorkGroup - if that helps.
