Title: Urgent notice to users with the TeraStation 5000 series line of NAS devices in iSCSI mode running either firmware version 2.10 or 2.11
Post by: Eastmarch on September 19, 2012, 09:08:41 PM

Buffalo recently became aware of issues that affect the TeraStation 5000 series line of NAS devices in iSCSI mode running either firmware version 2.10 or 2.11 that could result in data loss. To ensure the integrity of your data, it is critical that customers currently using any TeraStation 5000 series NAS as an iSCSI target perform the following steps:

•     Back up your data

•     Do not reboot the TeraStation

•     Install updated firmware 2.12 immediately (link)

At that point it will again be safe to restart your TeraStation. We would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you need any assistance, please contact our technical support team at 866-752-6210.
