Title: please HELP! cloudstation CS-x
Post by: gerardolenin on September 18, 2012, 07:12:02 AM

I bought a cloudstation CS-X 2 TB harddrive on eBay. but the product doesnt work. it was supposed to be my third pogoplug device, so during all this years ive been dealing with the most common pogoplug problems and solutions.

but this just go beyong my knowledge.

since the first time i plugged it, the light never stopped blinking. so i cannot realize the registration process.

i contacted the seller, he said it was working perfectly, and we have been talking on the phone cuz he doesnt understand also what could it happen.

he already gave me his address in order to return it if i want. but i just dont want to give up.

I called buffalo support and they explained me the process to put it into EM mode.

but since this product has any button, the process itself is tedious, "unplug it while is on, wait 50 seconds and if the light doesnt becomes solid, unplug it again at the 60 sec, and try it again, they say it can take more than 15 attemps to do it..

but ive been doing it for an hour or more and this things doesnt get into EM mode. im even starting to get worried to damage the harddrive everytime i do this.

does someone has another way to force to EM or to solve the problem i am having? i will apreciate all the help provided.

Thank you .

Gerardo

So that means if i open the case and unplug the harddrive it could work?

I really would like to know what is happening, does the harddrive has information of the firmware or its saved in a flash storage soldered in the board.

I really need help about this thing

is there a way to put the firmware again in the harddrive without going through the EM mode?
