Title: TS-H1.0TGL/R5 replacement drive question
Post by: ScottPR on September 17, 2012, 11:27:35 AM
I have a TS-H1.0TGL/R5 4x250gb Raid 5 setup. This morning, one of the drives came up "disconnected". I'm getting a replacement drive as we speak, but I had some questions: 1. I see that I can only use another 250 gb drive in place of the disconnected one. No problem there, but does spindle speed, cache size, or GB SATA (6 gb vs 3 gb) matter? 2. Does the array automatically rebuild once it recognizes the new drive as connected, or do I have to force a rebuild through the web interface? And do I have to reload the operating system via TFTP? Thanks.
