Hi all,
First time poster here!
I have a Buffalo TeraStation that is showing a red LED display and says:
TS-RIXL
Ver 1.50
Network 2 TRUNK
Link Speed 2 1000 Mbps
Link Speed 1000 Mbps
NASNAME 192.168.x.y F
HD 1-2-3-4 RAID 5
<Date + Time>
iSCSI I30 Connected
OperationMode I12 DEGRADE MODE
RAID ERROR E13
Array 1 Error
But none of these error messages say which HD is having problems.
If I log into the WebUI, Basic > Storage shows the 4 HDs fine, with no errors, and Array 1 status shows "Normal".
I have set the unit to send me status reports and it always says
[DISK error status]
DISK1 0
DISK2 0
DISK3 0
DISK4 0
Which seems to suggest nothing is wrong. And when I do a RAID scan nothing untoward is reported.
Yet the front of the unit is still red and saying DEGRADE MODE, ARRAY 1 FAILURE.
Any thoughts or suggestions greatfully received.
Thank you for reading.
update the FW to 1.57, and then rebuild the array.
Thank you for the prompt response!
Can you shed any light onto what the actual status of my NAS unit is?
Does it really have an error and the WebUI is showing incorrect information?
Or is the unit functioning perfectly fine and it's just the LED display showing an erroneous error status?
Thanks!
id say the error is actually with the HDD, however you wont know until you update and reset.
