Title: Cannot setup WebAccess on LinkStation Pro: UPnP Gateway not found
Post by: rawan on September 08, 2012, 07:34:08 AM

I've been trying to setup Web Access on my LinkStation Pro, without success.. I've read a lot of documentation/forum posts, but can't seem to figure it out... When I try to enable it, I get the following error message: UPnP Gateway not found and/or doesn't support port forwarding, use manual setup.

I know I have to forward port 9000 to the IP address of my NAS (in my case 192.168.0.99).. I have a Linksys E3200 router, and unless port forwarding is not as straightforward as I think it is, it should be set up correctly.. (External Port: 9000, Internal port: 9000, Protocal: Both (UDP/TCP), To IP address: 192.168.0.99

Can anyone help as to what might be going wrong? Or how to check if portfowarding is set up correclty?

Thanks in advance

Thanks for your reply... I have already tried accessing 192.168.0.9:9000 before, and nothing happens..

I was trying the Easy Web Access and it was failing... Tried the Advanced one too and it failed..

I just tried Disable Auto-Configure Firewall (UPnP) and put port 9000 in the External Port field... and what do you know..it works :)
