Title: AD Domain not authenticating administrative access to Link Station?
Post by: cjm51213 on September 04, 2012, 08:39:44 AM

Hi Folks,

I have a 4 TB / LS-WX4.0TL/R1, I suspect.  I have joind an Active Directory Domain, however when I browse to the Linkstation, it will not authenticate me using domain credentials, only local credentials.  Have I missed a setting somewhere?

Thanks for the help,

Chris.

Hi Davo,

If I browse to the Linkstation, I am presented with a logon screen.  This is where a new machine expectes to see "admin". "password".  This credential would still work for me, had I not changed it, but I wanted to be able to use my domain credentials here.   I have tried <user> and I have tried <domain>\<user> and neither seems to work.

So, the answer to your question is "Invalid username or password.  Please try agian."

Thanks for the help,

Chris.

Hi Folks,

The first logon screen does not seem to honor AD Domain authentication.   Additionally, ssh does not honor AD Domain authentication.

Is this intended behavior, or have I misconfigured something?

Thanks for the help,

Chris.

1. SSH is disabled on the unit.

2. by logon screen are you refering to the actual web logon screen of the unit where you configure its settings? If so then only the admin account of the linkstation can access this.
