Title: How to Set Up Link Station Live as simple external hard drive?
Post by: kellerdrake on August 29, 2012, 09:35:19 AM

Thanks for help, in advance!  I bought a 1.0TB Link Station Live NAS storage device two or three years ago and have never had any success setting up to interface with my wireless network.  I'm not technical.  Now all I need/want to do with the device is to enable it as a simple external hard drive, and I can't even do that!  Any advice really appreciated!    kellerdrake. well first of all you would need to have it connected to the PC via ethernet, via USB will not work at all.

Is that what you want?

Thanks, great first step, eliminating the easy USB route.  Darn it.  I will try the ethernet connection Davo right after the weekend and report back to you.  Thanks again.
