Title: Can I interrupt an erasure process on a LS-XL?
Post by: pgilpat on August 26, 2012, 12:42:05 PM

I've had some anomolies with the drive (it's only several months old), and I was going to start from scratch, and instead of doing a format, I initiated an erasure.  currently it has 7156.2 Minutes left to go.  Can I interrupt without damage or am I stuck?

Probably best not to interupt it as this can corrupt the unit.

Thanks for the thought.  It just got to pass 2 or four, which at this point will complete next week.  I'll love to just halt and reformat at this point.
